As I live in the Wanneroo area, I try to provide care to women located within 45 minutes of this area, which will mostly be around Perth city suburbs and areas north of the river. If you live further away or are unsure please get in touch, depending on your location I will see if its possible for me to provide care. If you can please let me know where you are located with your enquiry that would be great!
As an endorsed private midwife, I can provide medicare rebates for antenatal and postnatal care provided. My fee is $7000, with around 1/4 of this cost available for a rebate through medicare. This fee covers all your antenatal, birth and postnatal care, along with the second midwife attending your birth.
This will depend on who you have private insurance with and what policy you pay for. It would be best to get in touch with your insurance company and discuss what your policy covers, some companies do rebate part of the antenatal & postnatal appointment costs, and a couple cover home birth.
According to research, birthing in the home setting for healthy women with an uncomplicated pregnancy is not only safe, but also produces better birth outcomes for both mother and baby.
